Avondale Estates Police on Thursday afternoon got a call about an alarm going off at a residence on Covington Road.

The call came in at 1:08 pm.

“Upon arrival at the residence, responding officers discovered a broken window leading to the rear dining area,” the bulletin from the Police Department says. “The residence was cleared by officers, with no suspects located. Upon the arrival of the homeowner, investigation revealed no entry to the residence had been made and no items taken.”
