Cashed: Terrapin Station in Decatur closes its doors
Terrapin Station in Decatur, a head shop located on Church Street next to Java Monkey, is closed.
A reader told Decaturish that there were newspapers covering the windows as of Tuesday, April 7.
An employee who answered the phone who asked not to be identified said the store’s ownership made the decision Monday evening.
“The business just wasn’t here,” the employee said.
The shop, named for a Grateful Dead Album, sold a wide variety of devices for smoking tobacco products. The employee said the store’s Atlanta location on Howell Mill Road will remain open.
Records on file with the Secretary of State’s office show the business officially incorporated in 2013.
