Cameras are rolling in Decatur this week.

The city’s Decatur Minute blog says the city has issued a permit for filming ESPN College Game Day promotional footage at the Ebster Recreation Center, according to Special Events Coordinator Katie Abel There will also be filming at the corner of Trinity and Electric Avenue on property owned by the Decatur Housing Authority.

“We do anticipate intermittent traffic control for about twenty minutes in the afternoon,” the city’s announcement says. “Your patience is greatly appreciated.”

The city also issued permits for the filming of “Barbershop 3”.

“The project will film at two locations in Decatur: on Ponce de Leon Court and at the chapel at Decatur First United Methodist Church,” the city says.

Filming will conclude on Friday of this week and the city doesn’t anticipate needing to control traffic to accommodate the film crews.
