People with old electronics can properly dispose of them on Saturday, July 25, at a recycling event being held at Northlake Mall.

Keep DeKalb Beautiful will be holding the event from 9 a.m. to noon in the mall parking lot. The address is 4800 Briarcliff Road, N.E., Atlanta, GA 30345.

They will also be offering paper shredding and collecting old shoes.

“DeKalb County residents can properly dispose of paper, gently worn shoes and old electronics at this event,” the announcement says. “Electronics accepted include old computers, televisions, cell phones, game consoles and anything with a cord. Please note there will be a charge for CRT TVs and monitors, and wooden console, projection and plasma TVs. Accepted shoes include sneakers, casual shoes, dress shoes, sandals, heels and flats. They do not accept ski/winter boots, slippers or rubber flip flops.”
