Free Decatur Concerts taking place this fall

Fall is just around the corner, and with that comes the opportunity to attend some great, free concerts in Decatur.

Saturday evening Concerts on the Square start back on September 12, according to the Decatur Business Association. This is the planned line-up for September:

September 5: AJC Book Festival • NO CONCERT
September 12: Scene of the CrimeClassic Rock Covers
September 19: Space Plow • All-time Top 40
September 26: Soldado • Original Versions of Unknown Covers

All concerts start at 7 p.m.

Blue Sky Concerts, scheduled for Wednesdays at noon on the Square, are back in September. Here is that line-up:

September 2: Myles BrownJazz Trio
September 9: John Amoroso • All-time Top 40
September 16: Kristen EnglenzFolk Rock
September 23: THEYCALLMEPIANO • Female Piano Pop
September 30: Sonny Houston • Bluegrass

Both the Blue Sky Concerts and the Concerts on the Square take place in May and September in downtown Decatur.

Finally, on Thursdays in September, you can enjoy Oakhurst Jazz Nights on the lawn in front of The Solarium at 321 W. Hill St. 30030 in the Oakhurst neighborhood of Decatur. All concerts start at 7 p.m. and end at 9 p.m. The line-up hasn’t been announced yet, but concerts will take place on these days, according to the website:
