The group Friends of Dearborn Park is holding a trail cleanup Saturday, September 26 from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m.

Dearborn Park is located at 1301 Deerwood Drive in Decatur. The park cleanup will include invasive plant removal along Chevelle Road to W. Dearborn Circle and tree plantings, according to a Facebook event announcement.

Volunteers are asked to bring heavy duty trash bags, gas-powered trimmers, and a leaf blower. Work gloves, water, and safety vests are also recommended.

An email announcement said, “If you’d like to volunteer please contact us at [email protected] or go to www.Facebook.com/FriendsOfDearbornPark or call 678-435-9991.”

There will also be an art class happening nearby in the pavilion. If you are interested in attending the “Art by Liz” class, you can email [email protected] or call 678-902-7858.
