Decatur Police say that on Monday afternoon, Oct. 26, four young men broke into a home in Oakhurst and removed televisions, a tablet and a game system.

Police responded to the call at 2 p.m. at a residence in the 300 block of 4th Avenue. The burglary had occurred about thirty minutes earlier.

“The complainant reported seeing four people exiting the residence at approximately 1:30 p.m.,” Police Lt. Jennifer Ross said. “Two suspects were carrying televisions, one suspect was holding a handgun and one suspect was holding an unknown object.”

The suspects got into a white vehicle described as a Honda Civic and drove southbound on 4th Avenue toward Hosea Williams Boulevard. Police believe the suspects forced their way in through the front door.

“The suspects were described as four young black males, approximately 15 to 21 years old, approximately 5’10 to 6 feet in height, one wearing a red shirt and one wearing a white shirt,” Ross said.
