“Detectives investigating this case identified a suspect and obtained warrants for two counts of aggravated assault, one count of possession of firearm by a convicted felon and one count of possession of firearm during the commission of a crime,” a press release from the DeKalb Police Department says. “The suspect was already in jail on unrelated charges out of DeKalb County.”

Police identified the man as Jose Dionicio Ovalles. Capt. Frank Braun with DeKalb County Police said Ovalles was in jail in connection with a stolen vehicle investigation. He said it’s possible the mustang he was allegedly driving was also stolen.
