Rezagarse Tapas temporarily closed

Decaturish readers have been asking us what is going on with Rezagarse Tapas restaurant in Decatur.
Decaturish has contacted the restaurant, but has not received a response, so a reporter dropped by the restaurant Thursday afternoon. A sign on the door of the restaurant says, “Temporarily Closed, We apologize for any inconvenience.”

However, through the window, the restaurant seemed intact with tables and chairs in place and the order computer screen saver on.
The tapas restaurant opened over the summer in the space formerly occupied by Carpe Diem restaurant at 105 Sycamore Place. The restaurant initially did not have a website or Facebook page, but created both later. Decaturish learned of the restaurant’s opening after the Decatur Visitor Center posted a photo on Instagram.

It’s not clear how long Rezagarse has been temporarily closed or when it will reopen, if at all. It appears, based on social media posts, that the restaurant was still in business earlier in October.
However, the restaurant phone number has been temporarily disconnected, and people have been posting messages on the Facebook page asking when it would reopen.
Decaturish will update this story if we get a response from restaurant representatives.
