The Place on Ponce to hold Grand Opening

One of Decatur’s new apartment complexes, The Place on Ponce, is holding a grand opening party on Thursday, Nov. 19 at 220 Ponce de Leon Place.
The party will take place at 6 p.m., and both residents and non-residents are invited to the shindig, which will be in the clubroom and by the pool.

Mike Rieman, a representative for the development, told Decaturish that 140 of the 234 units are leased, two-and-a-half months after leasing began. The complex has one, two, and three-bedroom apartments and includes a clubroom, a fitness center, and a pool. It also boasts a “dog spa, bike repair station and two outdoor courtyards.”
Rieman said three retailers have signed leases for the retail portion of the project. Taziki’s Mediterranean Cafe, the Highland Bakery, and Orangetheory Fitness are all slated to move in, as Decaturish has previously reported.

The Place on Ponce is one of several new developments in Decatur. Arlo, previously known as Trinity Triangle, is a mixed-use development being built along East Trinity Place. The Alexan 1133, which is apartments only, has been under construction along Commerce Drive.
