Decatur police officers, school administrators, active living staff, and parents got a special treat Thursday morning.

The Glennwood Ringers, a choir of third graders from Glennwood Elementary, performed a holiday bell concert at Beacon Terrace, according to Be Active Decatur.

Music teacher Tanya Rodriguez led the Chime Choir. The students performed four songs for the crowd.

New City Schools of Decatur Superintendent David Dude was also in attendance at the concert. He posted on his Facebook page, “What a treat to hear the Glennwood bell choir this morning!”

Be Active Decatur said a grant from the Decatur Education Fund provided the funding to purchase the tone chimes.
