Decatur Police said robbery suspects fired at a man on West Pharr Road on Saturday evening before fleeing the scene.

“Officers arrived and located the victim of an armed robbery who reported he exited his relative’s house and encountered suspect No. 1 standing on the porch pointing a semi-automatic handgun and demanding his keys,” Ross said. “The victim was slow to respond and suspect No. 1 fired once into the air. The victim threw his keys and suspect No. 2 appeared and took the keys. The victim initially stepped back into the house and observed the suspects enter and attempt to start his vehicle but they were unsuccessful due to a secondary anti-theft mechanism. The suspects fled and the victim exited the house and ran into the yard.  Suspect No. 1 turned around and fired one shot toward the victim. The shot missed the victim and struck the house. The suspects fled south on Daniel Avenue on foot.”

Ross provided the following descriptions of the suspects:

Suspect #1: Black male, approximately 30-years-old, approximately 6’00, medium build, medium complexion, wearing dark clothing and a dark skull cap.

Suspect #2: Black male, mid-late 20’s, shorter and stockier build than suspect #1, dark complexion, wearing dark clothing and a dark skull cap.
