Decatur Police say a man who allegedly robbed two women is in custody.

Police on Jan. 29 arrested Vinson Lopez, 44, of Dublin Georgia after he allegedly snatched a purse from a woman’s shoulder as she was entering her garage at Sycamore Square condominiums. She screamed and chased the suspect to a church parking lot. He was arrested a short time later.

Police allege he is also responsible for a robbery that occurred on Jan. 17. The victim told police she came home from work and saw the suspect trying to enter her neighbor’s patio door. The victim confronted the suspect, and the suspect attacked her, stealing cash from her wallet and taking her cell phone.
