Here’s the latest food news in and around Decatur.
Marco’s Pizza at 227 N. McDonough St. in Decatur will hold its grand opening on March 13. An employee said the pizza chain hopes to have a soft opening this Friday and is already offering slices to try. The employee said the restaurant is still in the process of training employees.

The Comet Pub & Lanes has a new logo. The bowling alley unveiled the logo on Instagram.
The business also shared photos of its new check-in station under construction in what used to be Suburban Lanes.

Decatur Stirs, a showcase of craft spirits and cocktails, will include Proof Cocktail Syrups from the team behind The Pinewood. The craft cocktail event takes place Saturday, Feb. 27 from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Courtyard Marriott in Decatur Downtown. Other local products include Independent Distilling Co. Tickets cost $50.
Dad’s Garage Theatre Company has scheduled BaconFest 2016 for Saturday, Mar. 26. This year it will be held at the company’s new home at 569 Ezzard St. off of Edgewood Ave. in the Old Fourth Ward. Tickets are now on sale and start at $25.
