Decatur Police took a report on Wednesday evening, March 23, from a woman who said a young man tried to attack her in front of her Oakhurst home.

The incident occurred on 3rd Avenue near Oakview Road. Police responded to the call at 6:04 p.m.

“The victim reported she was walking across her front yard when a young male approached her and inquired if she needed yard work,” Decatur Police Lt. Jennifer Ross said. “She declined and the male reared back his right hand and attempted to strike her in the face with a closed fist and she ducked and was struck on her right ear.”

The two additional males were described as black, approximately 16-20 years old, wearing white shirts and one wearing blue plaid pajama pants.”
