Report: Former DeKalb County CEO released from prison
DeKalb County CEO Burrell Ellis has been paroled, according to The Champion Newspaper.
Ellis was sentenced to five years in prison on corruption charges in July of last year, and was to serve 18 months. He was convicted on charges of perjury and attempted extortion for shaking down contractors for campaign contributions.
