State Sen. Elena Parent is holding an “End-of-Session Town Hall” to recap events from the 2016 Legislative session, which wrapped up on March 25.

The town hall will be held Wednesday, April 13, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at North Decatur Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall, located at 611 Medlock Road, Decatur, GA 30033.

“This informal meeting provides an excellent opportunity for constituents to voice their opinions and ask questions about legislation that was voted on by the General Assembly during the 2016 legislative session,” the announcement from Parent’s office said. “All residents are encouraged to attend.”

During the session, Parent and state Rep. Mary Margaret Oliver were successful in getting the Legislature to approve expanding Decatur’s homestead tax exemptions for its seniors.
