Create Community 4 Decatur: Black Lives Matter is hosting a town hall for candidates in the May 24 primary elections on Tuesday, May 17.

The town hall will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will be held at Oakhurst Baptist Church, located at 222 E. Lake Drive, Decatur.

“Join us in the Fellowship Hall on the lower level of the Oakhurst Baptist for a chance to hear how candidates promise to work for a fair and equitable justice system,” the event announcement says. “After brief presentations, we’ll have tables set up for the candidates to meet with audience participants in small groups to answer your questions. We expect candidates for Sheriff, Superior Court Judge, CEO, Commissioner, State Representative District 82, Solicitor, and District Attorney to participate. This event is free and open to the public. For more information about the May 17 Town Hall meeting or about Create Community 4 Decatur: Black Lives Matter, contact Susan Firestone [email protected].”
