Emory student struck by vehicle, driver cited

An Emory student was taken to the hospital on Monday afternoon, May 2, after the student was hit by a vehicle near the intersection of Clifton and Gatewood roads.
The incident happened at 4 p.m.
“The pedestrian, a student, was crossing the street at the crosswalk on Clifton when struck by the vehicle,” a statement from the university says. “The student was transported to Atlanta Medical Center and remains hospitalized in stable condition.”
The driver was cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk, the spokesperson said.
