Police Lt. Jennifer Ross said police responded to the call around 10:26 p.m. The Kroger is located on Commerce Drive.

“The victim stated she exited the store and walked to her vehicle and initially went to her trunk. She observed two males walking towards her on the sidewalk along Commerce Drive but did not think much of it,” Ross said. “She walked to the driver’s side of her vehicle and the two males came up behind her.”

The first suspect showed her a black handgun and held it to the left side of her head, telling her “not to draw attention to herself.” The suspect took her keys along with the attached cardholder and entered the driver door of her 2008 Honda Accord. The second suspect entered the passenger door. They then fled  westbound on Commerce Drive in the victim’s vehicle.

“A witness reported seeing the suspects walking on the sidewalk along Commerce Drive toward Kroger just prior to the incident,” Ross said.

She provided the following descriptions of the suspects:

Suspect #1: black male, approximately 16-17 years old, approximately 5’7, dark complexion, wearing a maroon hoodie with white trim and dark pants or shorts armed with a black handgun

Suspect #2: black male, approximately 16-17 years old, approximately 5’7, dark complexion, wearing a dark hoodie and dark pants or shorts

She said the vehicle was found abandoned in southwest Atlanta the next morning.
