A portion of Clarendon Avenue in Avondale Estates will be closed Wednesday, July 20, starting at 8:30 a.m. for removal of a large tree.

The road will be closed from South Avondale Road to Clarendon Place, a notice from the city says. Crews will be removing a tree on Kingston Road. The process will take six to eight hours, the city says.

“The following areas will also be affected by the closure: Kingstone Road between Clarendon Avenue and Berkeley Road and Kingstone Road between Clarendon Avenue and Fairfield Plaza,” the notice says. “Only residents who live in the affected areas will be allowed to travel to and from their residences.”
