McNabb has advised DeKalb County as well, and played an integral role in guiding CSD through the process of issuing school construction bonds.

According to a press release from DeKalb County, McNabb will be CFO through Dec. 31.

“Ms. McNabb brings with here a wealth of experience in the public finance arena,” Interim CEO Lee May said in a press release. “Her stellar career has given her a unique familiarity with DeKalb County not only as a resident but working as an auditor with KPMG and subsequently as our financial advisor.”

May called McNabb “instrumental” in helping the county improve its bond rating. McNabb will be tasked with reviewing the county’s financial controls, staffing, policies and procedures of the county’s Finance Department, May said.

According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the position has been vacant since the retirement of Gwen Brown-Patterson. The county’s current audit is incomplete as county officials work to reconcile a $1.3 million discrepancy, the AJC reported. To read the full article, click here.
