Lt. Jennifer Ross posted a message on the Next Door social networking site saying that police were aware of the issues.

“Please be advised that we are aware of the loud music and officers have patrolled the entire city and the source of the music is not coming from within Decatur,” she wrote. “We believe the sound is coming from Music Midtown. Our Communications Center is being inundated with hundreds of calls about the noise and the volume of calls is resulting in busy signals for those who may be calling in some other type of incident. The concert is supposed to end at 11 p.m. and hopefully the noise will cease at that time.”

The music festival concluded on Sept. 18. The lineup for late Sunday evening included Deadmau5 and The Killers.
