Representative-elect Renitta Shannon is holding a meet and greet in Decatur on Oct. 11.

Decatur Mayor Patti Garrett said the meeting will be held at the Decatur Recreation Center, located at 231 Sycamore Street, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Shannon is succeeding Rahn Mayo, whom Shannon defeated in the primary elections back in May.

“I am excited to be your next District 84 State House Representative,” Shannon said on her Facebook page. “Come out and meet me and discuss the proposed amendments that will be on the ballot in November.”
