A team of artists painting a mural on a MARTA overpass above West Trinity Place will need some room to work.

The city of Decatur will close West Trinity Place will be closed between Atlanta Avenue and Water Street from Nov. 21 through Nov. 23, Monday through Wednesday, and Saturday, Nov. 26 and Sunday, Nov. 27, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Decatur Police will be assisting with the detours, the city says.

The Decatur Arts Alliance selected the MILAGROS Collective, from Miami and New Orleans, to head up the mural project. Design concepts were unveiled Aug. 31. The mural will cost $30,000, and will be partially funded with a $15,000 grant.
