A reader noticed silt fences and hay bales and a demolition notice on the building adjacent to Taqueria del Sol.
He wanted to know what will be built once the old building is torn down. It was formerly home to the Luci Bell antiques store.
Assistant City Manager Lyn Menne tells Decaturish a new business will be replacing it.
“Sherwin-Williams is building one of their urban stores at that location,” she said. “Similar to the one in Kirkwood.”
According to the company’s website, the Kirkwood store offers interior and exterior paint, painting supplies, caulk, stain and wallpaper.
