The LifeLine Animal Project is offering a discount to pet owners who want to spay or neuter their furry friends.

The press release says, “Have your pet fixed at either of LifeLine’s Spay & Neuter clinics throughout December, and you’ll receive an additional $10 off a low-cost spay/neuter! The clinics are located in Avondale Estates at 129 Lake Street, and College Park at 2533 Sullivan Road. With the discount, surgery prices start at just $30 for cats and $70 for dogs, making fixing your pet affordable for everyone!”

The nonprofit reports that it recently performed its 100,000th low-cost or free spay/neuter surgery. The organization says spaying or neutering your pet is “critical” to reducing animal shelter populations.

“Fixing pets helps prevent unwanted litters and strays,” the press release says. “Additionally, in both dogs and cats, spaying and neutering reduces and prevents certain types of cancers, and reduces uterine infections, urine marking, roaming and aggressive behavior.”

People interested in scheduling an appointment can call the Avondale clinic at 404-292-8800, or the College Park clinic at 678.973.2881.

The press release adds, “For information about surgery prices, monthly low-cost vaccination events and more, please visit LifeLineAnimal.org and click on ‘Our Clinics.'”
