Kirkwood robbery victim fights back
A robbery victim fought back when she was attacked in Kirkwood, but the suspects got away with her phone.
“On Dec. 28, at approximately 8:45 p.m. officers responded to 1690 Wade Ave, in reference to a female who had been robbed at gunpoint,” the Atlanta Police Department said. “The victim stated she was walking through the back part of Gilliam Park, when she was approached by two males, one of whom pointed a gun at her. The victim stated the males threw her to the ground and took her Samsung 6S.”
The victim said the men ran away on foot and one of them stopped and fired the gun into the air.
“Officers did not locate any shell casings at this time,” the report from the Police Department says. “The victim suffered from scrapes on her knees. She also had to clip her finger nails as a result of attempting to fight back. The investigation is ongoing.”
