An officer was on patrol in the 500 block of Oakview Road and she saw several people running in the middle of the road. One of the people told the officer he had just been robbed and had his cell phone stolen. The victim and a witness told the officer they were walking eastbound on Oakview Road when they saw four males walking behind them.

One of the males grabbed the victim from behind and threw him to the ground, the Police Department said.

Another officer found and arrested two of the suspects near the intersection of Adams Street and West Davis Street.

“The two suspects were positively identified by the victim and witness. Seventeen-year-old Kenton Carter of Decatur was charged with robbery,” the Police Department said. “A 16-year-old male was charged with robbery and possession of marijuana less than one ounce.”
