Nearly New Thrift Shop, a local consignment store benefiting the Junior League of Atlanta, is closing on Apr. 29.

This 68-year-old business brought about several million dollars to support the Junior League’s local community outreach.

“Anyone who shopped, or donated goods and volunteer hours, has helped to make the store a success,” Junior League of Atlanta president, Deanna Anderson said in a recent press release. “Unfortunately, multiple factors including increased competition, an ongoing decrease in revenue and the need to meet the evolving needs of our volunteers necessitated this decision.”

On Apr. 8, Nearly New is celebrating the shop’s decades of success with “food, drinks and prize giveaways while shopping with up to 60 percent off all store merchandise” from 12 to 3 p.m.

Nearly New is located in the Toco Hills Shopping Center at 2927 N. Druid Hills Rd.
