Desserts and cocktails event to raise money for wellness organization
Next weekend, get your sweet tooth ready for the 5th Annual Sweet & Sleazy Dessert Speakeasy. All proceeds benefit Atlanta Harm Reduction Coalition (AHRC), “a community-based wellness organization committed to promoting health and dignity.”
From 7 to 11 p.m. on Apr. 21 and 22, you can eat sweets, sip on cocktails, and compete in a raffle to win prizes like movie tickets, restaurant gift cards, and “custom poems.”

Festivities will be hosted at an East Atlanta Village home, which is being revamped into a “pop-up dessert cafe and bar.” The house is located at 1264 McPherson Ave SE in Atlanta.
The event is kid-friendly, and encourages attendees to take a date or make a family affair out of the night.
Last year, the Sweet & Sleazy Dessert Speakeasy donated more than $7,000 to the AHRC, and organizers hope to set a new record in the 5th year. To learn more about AHRC, visit their website at http://www.atlantaharmreduction.org/home.aspx.
