UPDATE: Decatur Fire and Rescue said the event has been cancelled. More from the Fire Department’s Facebook page …

We are sad to announce that the game truck scheduled for tomorrow at Decatur Fire will be unable to make it out to the station. We will try to get them to reschedule soon. Sorry for the late notice, as we just found out ourselves:(

Looking for a chance to play some video games while also getting out of the house?

City of Decatur Fire and Rescue will host a “Game Truck” event this weekend geared toward local teens. The firefighters will be there to play video games on Saturday, July 15 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m., according to the Fire and Rescue Facebook page.

Anyone between the ages of 12 and 19 can visit Decatur’s Fire Station One, located at 230 E Trinity Place, on Saturday, July 15 from 4 – 6 pm and play video games with police officers and firefighters. The event is completely free.
