Kavarna blues: Response to complaint about children leaves Oakhurst in stitches

It started with one man’s demand for peace and quiet at a local coffee shop.

A customer of Kavarna in Oakhurst published a long rant on the community’s Facebook page against parents and their annoying children disturbing the peace at Kavarna Coffee.

“Last I looked, Kavarna is not a frigging McDonald’s with a ball pit,” he lamented. “It’s a coffee shop where mostly grown folks read, work, have business meetings, and converse quietly with friends and neighbors.”

Several commenters chided him for his tone, and others leapt to his defense.

But one commenter delivered one of the funniest response of all time, if you know anything about Oakhurst.

Using the popular “Downfall” meme, he skewered the original post and the gentrified culture of the Decatur community.

“As you know, there is a shortage of rosemary sea salt bagels,” the video begins. “However, our scouts have tracked down what remains. There is Einstein Brothers. There is Goldberg’s. But I know your feelings about Buckhead. So I respectfully suggest BB’s in Alpharetta. These are all respectable bagels.”
