DeKalb Symphony Orchestra starts in mid-September with William Pu

The DeKalb Symphony Orchestra’s 2017-2018 season begins on Sept. 19 at 8 p.m.

Violinist William Pu will be featured as the soloist at the concert. Pu has performed internationally, collaborating with musicians such as Yo-Yo Ma and Robert Spano as well as soloing in several orchestras.

He’ll be performing “Saint-Saens: Introduction & Rondo Capriccioso” and “Beethoven: Romance No. 2 in F.” In addition, the program will include “Kalinnikov: Symphony No. 1.”

The show will be in the Marvin Cole Auditorium at Georgia State University’s Clarkston Campus. Those interested can arrive an hour early to meet the conductor before the concert.
