FDA sends ‘warning letter’ to King of Pops over conditions at South Carolina facility

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration issued a scathing report about the South Carolina production facility of King of Pops, which is based in Atlanta.
The report found evidence of “rodent excreta pellets” and other signs of pests at the plant. An employee at the Atlanta headquarters said the issues were brought to the company’s attention over two months ago and the South Carolina plant only serves the Charleston area.
