Come out on Saturday, Oct. 7, for the Fall Harvest Festival in Decatur, located at the DeKalb County Extension Office on 4380 Memorial Drive.

The Fall Harvest Festival is to “celebrate the end of a successful third season of Fresh on DeK,” which is put on by the University of Georgia’s DeKalb County Cooperative Extension. Part of Fresh on DeK’s mission is to contribute to a creating a healthy community through providing local produce.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., this Mobile Farmer’s Market will be selling discounted fresh produce as well as hosting some of the Cooperative Extension’s educational demonstrations. It’s a family-friendly event, too, featuring interactive games, food, and prizes for kids.

According to a recent press release, Fresh on DeK was able to “[relieve] food access barriers by providing fresh produce paired with nutrition education programming around the county.”
