The cities of Decatur and Atlanta and DeKalb County are revising their garbage collection schedules to account for the bad weather caused by Hurricane Irma.

Rescheduled Sanitation and Recycling Services
Since trash and recycling pick up has been disrupted due to Tropical Storm Irma, adjustments have been made to the collection schedule.

Since trash and recycling pick up has been disrupted due to Tropical Storm Irma, the following adjustments have been made to the collection schedule.
- If your regular collection day is Monday, your items will now be collected on Wednesday, September13. Please wait to set out your cans and bins until 7:30 on Wednesday morning.
- If your regular collection day is Tuesday, your items will now be collected on Thursday, September 14.
- If your regular collection day is Thursday or Friday, your items will now be collected on Friday,September 15.

DeKalb Sanitation Resumes Collection Service for Residential and Commercial Customers
DECATUR, Ga. – Due to inclement weather from Tropical Storm Irma, the DeKalb County Sanitation Division announces a revised collection schedule. Collection service for residential and commercial customers will resume on Wednesday, Sept. 13, during normal operating hours.
Monday, Sept. 11 – No residential or commercial collection service.
Tuesday, Sept. 12 – No residential or commercial collection service.
Wednesday, Sept. 13 – Residential customers whose regularly scheduled collection day is Monday, Sept. 11, will be serviced on Wednesday, Sept. 13. Commercial customers whose regularly scheduled collection days are Monday, Sept. 11, and Tuesday, Sept. 12, will be serviced on Wednesday, Sept. 13.
Thursday, Sept. 14 – Residential customers whose regularly scheduled collection day is Tuesday, Sept. 12, will be serviced on Thursday, Sept. 14. Commercial customers whose regularly scheduled collection days are Wednesday, Sept. 13, and Thursday, Sept. 14, will be serviced on Thursday, Sept. 14.
Friday, Sept. 15 – Residential customers whose regularly scheduled collection day is Wednesday, Sept. 13, will be serviced on Friday, Sept. 15. Commercial customers whose regularly scheduled collection day is Friday, Sept. 15, will be serviced on Friday, Sept. 15.
Saturday, Sept. 16 – Residential customers whose regularly scheduled collection day is Thursday, Sept. 14, will be serviced on Saturday, Sept. 16. Commercial customers whose regularly scheduled collection day is Saturday, Sept. 16, will be serviced on Saturday, Sept. 16.
