Starting Sunday, Sept. 17, Woodlands Garden is going to host a fall plant sale each Sunday until Oct. 15.

Each sale will last from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., featuring “plants that have been grown by volunteers, native plants cultivated at the Garden and those donated by local nurseries.” There will be a variety of plants, too, ranging from trees to perennials to groundcovers.

Kate McAlpin, the Executive Director of Woodlands Garden, said in a recent press release that, “Garden visitors will get a chance to enjoy an informative shopping experience under the tree canopy with expert DeKalb County Master Gardeners assisting in plant selection. Plant lovers, and those with newly green thumbs, will take home a piece of Woodlands for their own backyard while supporting an important Decatur greenspace.”

In addition to plant selection assistance and a variety of plants to choose from, each week there will be garden specialists to answer questions and give demonstrations.

All revenue from the sales goes towards sustaining the garden, which is a non-profit garden, open every day free-of-charge.

If you have any more questions, contact Kate McAlpin via phone at (404) 373-2222 or checkout their website at www.woodlandsgarden.org.
