Atlanta Police said, “The commander of Zone 6 is aware of the uptick in residential burglaries and has increased patrols in the area. We are also working closely with Dekalb County Police to share information regarding these crimes. We have obtained leads and we are working to identify the suspects involved and looking at possible connections between these incidents.”
The suspects have taken laptops, a cell phone, a red and black Power Ranger book bag, a handgun, televisions, cash, an air compressor, nail guns, a “brand new fan,” shoes, gaming systems and jewelry.
The East Lake Security Patrol advised residents to, “Stay vigilant. Secure your homes even if you run out for a quick errand. Keep your porch/exterior lights on at night, and report any suspicious activity immediately to 911.”
