Chris Billingsley, a former Decatur High teacher, says the high school’s JROTC recently gave out its Sept. 11 service awards.

Recipients were Decatur Police Lt. Jennifer Ross, Mary Farmer, a long time CSD employee recently retired), Mawuli Davis, a local attorney and community leader, and Stayce Green in the Decatur Recreation Department.

Billingsley said the awards are given to people “who have acted in ways that reflects the virtue of those who, on September 11, 2001, sacrificed their lives so that we can live in peace.”
