DeKalb County Schools holding public meeting about redistricting on Nov. 2

The DeKalb County school district is hosting three public meetings to discuss redistricting Stone Mountain and Clarkston High School boundaries.
The first meeting will be held on Thursday, Nov. 2 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Freedom Middle School, located at 505 S. Hairston Road in Stone Mountain. Two subsequent meetings will be held on Nov. 30 and Jan. 11 at the same time and place.
Parents zoned for both schools are encouraged to come and understand the possible effects redistricting can have. Other schools that could be affected are:
– Allgood Elementary School
– Dunaire Elementary School
– Hambrick Elementary School
– Indian Creek Elementary School
– Jolly Elementary School
– Rockbridge Elementary School
– Stone Mill Elementary School
– Stone Mountain Elementary School
– Freedom Middle School
– Stone Mountain Middle School
