The race to attract Amazon’s next headquarters is inspiring one Atlanta community to propose creating a city named after the company.

According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the recently-created city of Stonecrest said it would de-annex 345 acres to create a new city of Amazon in hopes of luring the company to build there.

The new Amazon HQ could mean 50,000 jobs and the state and Atlanta area are definitely interested in the project.

“We’re committed and going to put our best foot forward in order to bring [Amazon] to Georgia,” said Pat Wilson, the state’s economic development commissioner.
