Decatur’s Run With The Dogs “Face of the Race” contest deadline is approaching. The deadline is Oct. 27.

The contest winner will have their dog’s portrait on the 2018 Run With The Dogs 5k and 1-Mile Pup Trot posters and race t-shirt.

Contestants will get the chance to enter the contest by posting photos of your dog on Facebook or Instagram, and include a short pitch for why your dog should be “the Face of the Race.”

If Facebook is your forte, post a photo to www.facebook.com/RWTD5k. If you prefer Instagram, follow Run With The Dogs at @RWTD5k, post a photo using the hashtag #RWTD5K, and don’t forget to create a hashtag that best describes your dog.

In order to be qualified for the contest, you have to register for the race first. You can register at www.RWTD5k.com.

The contest will be reduced to four finalists that the community will then vote on for a winner, which will be announced on Nov. 6.

Funds raised will go to Renfroe Middle and Decatur High School’s athletic programs.
