Come out to Clairemont Elementary on Dec. 1 and 2 for the 26th Decatur Holiday Marketplace + Cafe. The event will last from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Dec. 1, and then from 10 a.m. through 5 p.m. on Dec. 2.

This holiday marketplace will feature around 100 artisans, local and national, serving as “a local alternative to crowded shopping malls and big box stores.”

Alongside the marketplace, there will be a “well-stocked cafe,” hence the name. Food trucks are serving hot dogs, pizza, lobster, and cajun-creole food in addition to the usual desserts from local businesses.

Music will be in the air with carolers and local musicians providing holiday tunes. On Saturday, Dec. 2, Color Wheel Studios and Science of Fun will host kid-friendly activities for families. To pre-register for this visit www.decaturholidaymarketplace.com.

All proceeds from the event go to Clairemont Elementary School in support of local students and their education.
