Pallookaville closed its doors in November, but the space won’t be shuttered for long.

The restaurant’s owner, James Maggard, is opening a new restaurant in the same space called The Stratford Pub.

“This is a completely new thing,” he said. “Despite the same ownership, everybody there is new.”

He said there will be a meet and greet on Jan. 1. People can hang out, have a beer and watch the football games. The official opening date is Jan. 3, he said. He described the concept as, “A family friendly pub.”

“The goal is to have an all encompassing town hall concept with a varied menu that will accommodate kids and adults alike,” Maggard said.

He said the menu will be similar to another restaurant he owns in Tucker, The Local No. 7.
