Westchester Elementary’s Battle of the Bands will be back for its third annual competition on March 23 at Avondale Towne Cinema.

Fifteen bands competed to earn one of five spots in the lineup for 2018. The final five bands to battle it out will be Flock of Eagles, Transmit and Receive, Kickin’ Edgar, The Squirrelheads, and The Benders.

This year, Battle of the Bands is presented by Decatur CoWorks and Natalie Gregory | Keller Williams, and the event proceeds will go to Westchester Elementary.

The judge panel features: City Schools of Decatur Superintendent Dr. David Dude, Decatur City Commissioner as well as Intown Ace Hardware Co-Owner Tony Powers, and the band Sister Hazel’s drummer Mark Trojanowski. Additionally, Yvonne Monet is the emcee for the show.

Stay on the lookout for early purchase of tickets in 2018.
