Some city of Decatur residents will have to wait a week for their recycling to be picked up.

The city is still recovering from a winter event that dumped snow on the Atlanta area on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. Previously, the city rescheduled trash and recycling collection for residents.

Now the city is saying customers who get their recycling picked up on Tuesday – residents who live in the Northwest portion of the city – won’t have their recycling picked up at all this week.

“Due to issues our contractor is having with getting equipment to the city of Decatur, recycling collection services for the Tuesday collection route has been cancelled for this week,” a press release from the city says.  “Recycling for the Tuesday route will be collected next Tuesday, January 23.  We appreciate your patience and apologize for the inconvenience.”

Here’s the city’s previous announcement about how the weather is affecting trash and recycling pickup:

– Regular trash and recycling collection that is normally scheduled for Tuesday (Northwest City of Decatur) will be collected on Thursday, Jan. 18 beginning at noon.

– Regular trash and recycling collection that is normally scheduled for Thursday and Friday (South Decatur) will be collected on Friday, Jan. 19th beginning at 7:30 a.m.
