Mind Bubble is gearing up for its monthly workshop on Sunday, Feb. 4, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Edwin Jarvis, a co-working space located at 88 North Avondale Road.

The theme for February’s workshop is “Probing the Universe: Light, Color, and Astronomy.” The workshop will be led by Dr. Amy Lovell, chair of the Physics and Astronomy Department at Agnes Scott College.

According to a recent press release, Lovell “will teach students about light and how it can be split up into many different colors to identify and classify stars. Students will do some experiments with light and color, using these as tools to solve some fun astronomical mysteries.”

Mind Bubble is a local, educational nonprofit geared towards middle schoolers from metro Atlanta. In addition to workshops, they offer free tutoring each week during the school semester.

You can register your middle schooler for this workshop online by visiting: mindbubble.org/workshops. The workshop is free to attend and spots are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
