Meeting on Decatur school attendance zones set for Jan. 17 has been CANCELLED
UPDATE: City Schools of Decatur cancelled classes and all after school activities on Jan. 17 due to snowy weather. This meeting has been cancelled. There’s no immediate word on when it will be rescheduled.

CSD will soon begin work on a new 3-5 school at Talley Street which is expected to be finished by the start of the 2019 school year. The new school will cost $22 million and will seat 750 students.

The new school at Talley Street is prompting a reexamination of CSD’s elementary attendance boundaries. CSD’s Elementary Boundary Planning Steering Committee will hold a meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 17, from 6:30 p.m to 8:30 p.m. at the Decatur High School cafeteria, located at 310 North McDonough Street.
