The city of Decatur says utility work on East Ponce de Leon downtown could result in traffic delays.

“Beginning Tuesday, Feb. 20, there will be utility construction taking place along East Ponce De Leon Ave from Clairemont Avenue to Church Street; and along Church Street from East Ponce De Leon Ave to Trinity Place,” the city announced. “The work is expected to conclude on Wednesday, Feb. 21. Lane closures and delays should be expected. East/west traffic can avoid the area by taking Commerce Drive or Trinity Place; north/south traffic can by-pass Church Street via Commerce Drive on the city’s west side.”
